In the early 90's at Kokomo Page Jones spun out 3 times and came back to win the midget a main. After the race a few drivers thought the 2 spin rule should have been in effect. Well they and Gary Sokola from USAC had some words about it....when it was over one of them called Gary an A--hole....Gary said "thats right i am an A--hole....but without us a--holes you butt f---ers would be out of business" I will never forget that one!

Another favorite,
went to a midget race at Montpelier, all the drivers were standing between the grandstands where we were sitting, getting ready to take a collection for a fallen car owner (sorry can't think of his name). Koonze took a look at all the drivers', turned to me and said "thank god for power steering":O:
