Look where they’re having the first race! Putnamville Indiana. Putnamville was one of the last holdouts for non-wing in the 80’s. And this is where they do this. Screw those guys. Wings suck!
Putnamville is being extremely smart in doing this, they see the direction non-wing sprint racing is going and the upward direction Winged racing is going. They can't get 500 fans in the stands for a non wing race guarantee they get 5,000+ for this event.

You've obviously never been to Putnamville They have no plans to have regular winged racing as a headline. They get good if not great weekly show fans and near sellout sprint weeks.
It's good for them because it doesn't effect their normal schedule in any way.
I've been to a disaster of a Huge Wing Show at LPS. It was a weeknight, fan count wasn't great and they ruined the track ending at three am. Dave Blaney pulled out before it even started. But that was DA so I'll leave that as a one off.

I have a few times and all the times I’ve gone stands were bare, Putnamville will have an attendance record when the wings are racing there, higher speeds better racing in my opinion

Yes, they will get a good crowd for the first show at Putnamville but agree with Charles that you don't know squat about LPS as they draw a good crowd every Saturday for a normal weekly program and their wingless specials draw very good crowds so know your facts before you type nonsense on this forum. Joe Spiker is not losing any money at LPS and he sees this as a way to make another big pay day being the good businessman that he is.

I'd love to give a photographer 20 bucks to take a pic of the hillside at both Sprint Week and this Winged show. I think Sprint Week will win. Remember Sweet said he wasn't racing it and I don't know that any of the WoO points racers will. So that makes it Larson Vs some MOWA and ALL STARS. possibly a couple MI drivers.

I bet the Kings Royal isn't 2/3rd sellout, the million weekend wasn't and a few of them Flo LM specials haven't been close. others, biggest crowd they've had.
Have you seen the crowds lately for the Kings Royal?

Im talking this year. The Million weekend LM's were not sellouts, Dream and Million Nights more than the qualifiers but there were whole areas of empty seats. Economy is my guess. Do I hope it's a sellout yes, I doubt it will be.. I attended all the KRs and HBO's from 89-01 It was packed then, maybe way out in four or two were there some empty seats.
Im not the only one no longer going to these shows. I know half a dozen who no longer go out to Knoxville because it became more about the $$ than the Event prestige. Can't wait till the green flag is sponsored by Simple Green and the Black flag is sponsored by Rhino shield.

Higher speeds = better racing is the biggest fallacy in racing. That is absolutely not true. More side by side racing = better racing and that just doesnt happen as often in winged racing.
