You know this car is still uglier than snott...lol!:O:
It just makes you barf when you look at it.
1) The number one complaint from fans about the new Silver Crown car was that
it was Ugly.
a) Let's face it when you go to a race you love to look at the Sprint Cars
and say they are cool and good looking. That's half the fun of goin' to
the races.
2) I feel they need to get rid of the down tubes and the cages. I don't know
how INDY, CART or Formula one does it, but get rid of those god awful
down tubes and roll cages and somehow give the driver the protection they
need and go racing.

The way it looks USAC is trying to make everyone happy. I wish they would have learned last time, that when you do that, no one is.
RandyRad, I wish they would run the dirt champ cars with gold crown. I also don't want to hear the crybaby crap about two cars . If you can't afford two , run what you can afford. You may not win the title, but that way you have a TRUE champion, not some seat buying driver. The champion would really have to drive.

IF the new design makes you sick and you dont like it then oh well.As for my thought i think it looks very cool.I know we are very excited about getting our cars refitted and putting them on the track. As for the comment about them looking like 600 roadsters well maybe you should stick with micro sprints and minisprints since they look like 410 sprints. So what is so bad about it looking like a roadster anyway.

They'd look alot better without the side pods and nose wing. Then they would really look like roadsters. If you designed a belly pan that had some downforce it wouldn't need the pods and it would look like a roadster. You would make a lot more people happy with the design then.
Heck, Junior Johnson (I think) ran a caged roadster at the speedway in the early 60's. Also for those of you who don't like the cage, put in a funny car style cage.

I've seen nothing from USAC about going away from the mile dirt races.
Anyone?

That would be correct the mile dirt stays the same and that would be silvercrown dirt and pavement.Goldcrown is pavement only.
