From what I understood the week and date available conflicted with the Jackson County fair. I apologize in advance if I am wrong.

I went on a Midwest tour this year,it just wasnt sanctioned by USAC. You should get out more often.

With the date changes for midget week,it looks like no Eastern Swing in the same time frame as the last 2 years??

Wasn't this the reasoning behind no Sprint Week date this year, as well?

Kamp still might be in the line-up?? WOW that was officially the absolute worst race ever to try and watch. they would need some MAJOR track prep changes.

The way I understand it, this will be the week directly after the Eastern swing...and that Eastern swing comes right after the Knoxville Midget Nationals...

It depends on how profitable you think an Indiana Sprintweek race will be. That is going to be one of the few entities in short-track racing that is a recession-proof moneymaker. And if those promoters want the even-bigger profit of a two-day show, they can throw up a little bit more cash to go back to the racers. I'm not expecting double the purse....I'm saying maybe that could give us a six- or seven-grand to win race during the week that also pays maybe six-hundred to start. Asking the promoters cannot hurt - if they don't want to do it, they don't have to....but if they think it's worth a little extra money to get another date, it benefits the guys in the pits!

I would think that Gas City is still a big question mark at this point, unless there are ownership things going on behind the scenes that I haven't heard about. And Kamp would be absolutely awesome if they lit it better. And improved the fencing. And watered it. I'm not in the know about USAC's decision making, but I'd guess that a return to Kamp is questionable. Or at least it should be questionable.

In a perfect world, I would schedule it like this:

Burg
Liberty
Gas City
Kokomo
Kamp
<off day or two>
Paragon/Putnamville International Speedways
N. Vernon
Bloomington
Haub
Haute
