There is a new series in Ohio this year - OSCS / Ohio Sprint Car Series. It is a winged 410 series from what I understand with all races within the state of Ohio.
Now, in Ohio, you have the All Stars (who are pretty much based out of there), the Fremont Attica Series (FAST), and now these guys. Three series.

The OSCS has released a 19 race schedule for their first season.

http://ohiosprintcars.net/Schedule.aspx

One of the races will be co-sanctioned with FAST at Fremont Speedway. That leaves 18 races. Of those 18 races when compared to the All Star schedule, only ONE of them, on July 9th, is on the same night as an All Star race in the state of Ohio. ONE! On the other dates where the OSCS and All Stars race on the same night the All Stars are out of state in either Michigan, Wisconsin, or Pennsylvania. And.... AND.... this ONE race where they both race in Ohio the same night, the OSCS will be at Atomic Speedway whilst the All Stars will be at Sharon Speedway, clear across the state, which for all practical purposes is damn near IN Pennsylvania.

Don't tell me brains and foresight cannot overcome scheduling atop each other. All we need is to find brains and foresight. There might still be time, but the 2016 clock is ticking.
You could also say that SOD and GLSS did a good job not scheduling against the big shows in Michigan. So far neither is scheduled to run on the nights that ASCOC or ASCS come to Michigan. GLSS is scheduled both nights the WOO come. When the woo are at Hartford GLSS. Runs at Tri City. When WOO are at I96, GLSS is co sanctioned with ASCS in Indina. It's too bad at least one of the woo shows you won't see Dagget if he is running for points with GLSS.

One thing to note the OSCS and FAST show you mentioned is the same night the All Stars are at Butler so that's a loss for Butler.

It's also worth noting comparing GLSS and SoD would be better to compare OSCS, OVSCS and FAST which more than likely will be scheduled against each other.

There are just so many series out there they are bound to conflict.

OSCS came about because of OVSCA which is still a series in Southern Ohio ran by Billy Jarrell. Sounded to me like most racers were tired of the paltry pay & really late nights & out of this OSCS was born.

OSCS is going to be a deal ran by Brad McCown (?) that runs Atomic Speedway.

Whats that do to Limalands shows that were co-sanctioned with NRA along with the Memorial Day Weekend with Waynesfield & Eldora ? Guess we will just have to wait & see.

I would think by June you will know what club to go watch and what one will be a waste of time. In years past we have had a lot of clubs racing and fighting for car counts. I can remember nights when you would have All Stars-IRA-SOD-I-96-Butler all running on the same night. I would think MTS would have the same amount of cars. Its just a waiting game to see were the SOD cars go this year. I do not think it matters what the cars in other states do. Not a lot of out state cars come to Michigan anymore. I do have a question. If SOD and GLSS are at the same track at the same night. Is that two shows-two purses?

Eric do you plan on following either series for points or will you be picking and choosing?

If you are following GLSS will you be showing up to SOD races with your 360 on off nights? I'm just curious if guys with 360s plan on giving SOD a try.

I hope to race one or the other for points and race as much as the other as I can. I bought a 410 block and started collecting 410 parts, hoping to put one together to run SOD and whatever other 410 stuff was in the area. But, I spent a weekend in the hospital in November, and the bills for that put a significant dent in the money I had saved to build motors and race next year with. I race 100% out of my own pocket, so I only have whatever I can scrounge and save. Much of that went away. So now I'm not sure what exactly I'll be doing. I kind of plan to sell the 410 stuff to be able to race 360s. If that's what happens, I will run SOD races with my GLSS motor, yes.

SOD has released their full schedule today. Looks like they and GLSS will only be stepping on each other a couple of times this season, so all in all, despite all of my worries and complaints, I guess that is about as good as it gets - unless more changes to the schedules are forthcoming.

As of now, BOTH are scheduled at I-96 Speedway on 8/19. It is on both schedules and I-96's schedule.

I'll let nathan take the lead in posting the SOD docket. He's our man for doing so.
