Great night at the Burg. Yeah, track had a few rough spots, but considering the rain we've had lately, coulda been worse. Good job Dave and crew. Great racing, good crowd, and best of all I got in free cuz I had my rain check from last year.

Not going to do a play by play. I thought the racing was awesome.

Id told some friends including some IOW's on FB that I thought a couple storms might roll over the track in the afternoon but thought it looked good for race time on. I would have felt terrible if it hadn't gotten in.

Sure enough, I get there at 1:30 take the long walk to mark of seats for uncle, gail, lloyd and and couple others Well no sooner than I got em marked and back down the grandstand a pretty good rain hit for about 20 minutes. It continued to rain off and on but never hard till about 330 then BAM, SUN!. They asked me to mark off a few more for JonsMom so I did but I guess they set elswhere. Racetime those seats opened. Anyway, When I got there, They had just gotten the track packed enough to race on as in the morning Im told the tractor was sinking. He got it sealed over again right before that 2pm shower. If he hadn't we'd of been done.

Track had a couple ribs rolled up in places that if a car got in sideways and grabbed it would bounce the cars off the bump stops and launch em. Brady and Ballou battled the entire second half of the race and brady hit the nerf of a lapper and knocked his front end out from under him and Ballou got under him. Brady fought back and got it back real quick and although Balllou clearly was faster. Brady was able to make the middle of the track work to get around a couple lappers that Ballou had to work on a couple laps. That sealed the deal! Bacon Won Grant wrestled third on the last lap and Darland also got by Farney for fourth.

In short, I can't thank enough the Rudisells and Crew for busting their asses to get it in. I've Seen all to many promotors who would have thrown the towel after four inches of rain in the morning and a forcast of doom. They worked hard, Were still scraping slime off entry and exits ten minutes to hotlaps but the show started relativly on time and was done at 1025! BRAVO!

Thank you also to the teams and crews. You were all on the same track, Some made it work, Others couldn't but best of all, all go home safe and sound! THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS.

Till I can get there again! It was great seeing so many people I haven't seen in awhile and a few I met for the first time. Stephen Cording and wife, Jim George. Johnny Thunderhead and others.!

Chuck

I was not crazy about the new track at the Burg, but the last 4 races I have seen there have been really good. I thought it was good show and a good effort.
