Many track regulars figure some high budget teams will show up, reducing their chance to win or even make the show, so they stay home. Moving the smackdown a week later and running Friday, Saturday, and Sunday might be something to consider. I don't own or rent racetracks though, so I'm sure it is fine and can't be improved as it is. |

I attended the Smackdown and I thought it was pretty sucessful. I agree more money rarely means more cars. Paragon is a perfect example. The post I was refering to was by a former disgruntled employee of USAC, who was with them when they changed the pavement Silver Crown cars, and now has an ax to grind. Non sanctioned might work in March, but the weather is iffy. The crowds were good, the on track product great, and once again someone who was not there is finding fault. All I am saying is, if you really believe in your idea, and think it is a money maker, why wouldn't a person do it. I can tell you why,because he knows it wouldn't work.
