Sorry but I don't. I assume the non wing race is going on. Hopefully I'll hear something.

Something similar happened last night at Waynesfield in a non wing race except they were team cars & both took a wild ride down the front chute after getting together before the flagstand. Also during the feature Ballou caught Grants front end in 4 & Grant did a 360 hitting the wall in the process with his front end. He did not get upside down. Grant crewmember gave ol Bob Ballou the double finger salute & Grant did his best helmet throwing to date (would have won prize at Kings Island or Cedar Point ) while also giving him a single finger salute while exiting turn 4. He also forgot that he has done this himself. My thought was Ballou will be on probation at Waynesfield now, I.E. USAC. Would have like to have seen a little more non wingers for this show, Maybe someone will step up the purse for them next year. This was posted & pasted from another Forum in case you are wondering why it is worded the way it is.

T Mez took the non wing feture holding off a charging Ballou who wiped out Justin Grant on his way to the front which resulted in the nightly helmet being thrown at him.
Shaffer dominated the 360 event but Jarred Horstman was charging and up to second and gaining on Shaffer when he caught the hay bail which guards the end of the guardrail on the backstretch with his right rear, ending his night. It was over after that. Westfall made a late move around Eddie Shaner to win the mod feature. Only negatives was it didnt get over til 12:45 and too much down time. Would like to see a little bigger purse for the non wingers which would draw more cars and then maybe drop the mods to keep the show rolling a little better. JMO. But a real good show and will be back next year. |

Good night of racing. I really like to watch JG run so I was dissapointed when he was put out, but as someone else said, he too has misjudged sliders before. Was glad to see the track come around at the feature, I didn't want to see a tiptoe huggypole.
The only complaint I would have is the 23 different consolation races, maybe run C-mains or something to keep the real ill handling cars from ruining every race with spins. |
