I just have a question.. Did something change? Qualifying 3rd I would have thought Dave would start 4th.

USAC inverts the 6 fastest drivers that transer from heats now. If you have to go through the B you can start no better than 7th.

Hines and Fitzpatrick didn't transfer through the heat, so they can't start in the top 6. Darland was the fastest car that transfered through his heat, so that puts him in the farthest back inverted spot (6th).
