another to mention, USAC Champion and friend Sondi Eden. If i remember the banner i made for her the night of her Championship, Sondi was USAC's 1st woman Champion. Also previously mentioned, Miranda Throckmorton, a ton of talent and courage in a tiny package. I respect all racers and wish to thank you all for the entertainment and allowing me to enjoy my favorite sport. bob

Some photos of sprint car driver Morgan Turpen, taken by me at New Smyrna Speedway, FL in Februray 2012. In competition in Speedweeks 2012 in TBARA and at the East Bay 360 Winternationals. She liked my photos so much , she put them up on her Facebook page ;

Sue Spenser was a many time champion in the Illini Racing Series. Prior to that I believe she was a Badger rookie of the year in the days when that really meant something. Of course she also got a helicopter ride out of Angell Park and went on to race some more. All of which makes her a "real" racer in my book.

No list of women in oval racing should omit Kara Hendricks either. Who knows what she could have accomplished had ther life been longer.
