If a guy is in school and is keeping his grades up he might not be able to attend the awards DEAL. What is wrong with a check and the good old Post Office spl delivery. I would think that "22" is doing what is called "differed gratification." or taking care of business.

I hate when "any one" tells me I have to do something. A "DUMB" rule.

I once donated $1000.00 to a points fund and was then DQ"d for racing at a non sanctiond race.

Racing is a dangerous sport. It's a an inherent danger that we all accept.. Don't really think it matters how big the track is.... as I found out at Linton a few months ago...

guys let's not turn this into a MMSA vs AMSA thread, let's just be happy we can take our trusty ol steads to tracks like these... Thanks Bill

Good luck with that.............

I was just sitting here thinking that every thread about mini sprint racing ends up turning into an AMSA/MMSA pissing match.

I didn't say I agreed with the rule.....but it's in the rulebook and has been for years. If you don't like the rule try and get it changed....don't come back after the fact and expect it to be bent for you.

And I can see Jerry's point behind the rule (shocking)....people gripe about sponsorships and money and then complain when the association wants you to be there to show your appreciation to the sponsor.

What if no one showed up and got their checks in the mail? My guess is you'd be looking for a new points sponser next season.

YOU and most other racers would show up with or without an invite or RULE .

Really not the point.....I realize you have a thorn in your arse for Jerry, but don't let it cloud your better judgement. My guess is that if this was Bill's rule you'd be defending him and making the same points I am making.

Once again....didn't say I agreed with the rule, but it's been around for years and everyone that has run with the AMSA for any length of time knows about.

I didn't attend the banquet last season for the same reason (weekend before finals, still got paid) there is NO way I can get from Athens, Ohio to Indiana on that weekend.

Besides the point, I wish everyone planning to race at Eldora luck. Eldora typically gets very slick so that should slow the cars down to an extent.. just make sure before you go you have a well-built car that won't fall apart, all the best safety items, and a driver with a big pair of you know what's, and you'll be fine.

Kristin made it out to the ditch next to the road a few years ago at Linton.
They got out to her car and she was laughing at where she was. Scary ride but the only thing damaged on the car was the front axle, 1 front shock and 1 back shock.

We started out racing go karts at Vernon Indiana at the 4H fairgrounds. I think they usually kept three ambulances there. 2 at the track and one in route to the hospital and back. This way they could get the races in by 3 Am. I sure felt a lot safer when we got in mini sprints.
