There is nothing wrong with the way LPS is having us restart. We as drivers all know exactly what we are able to do and not do on restarts.

Just a few years ago, because this same argument came up, they tried putting the cone out farther. The result was that cars ended up getting bottled up and tore up. They moved it back down.

Bottom line, there's no need to re-invent the wheel.

BTW, in case there is any question, I am friends with the car owner and crew of the #34. If anything, I would be biased their way, but I agree that they jumped. Shane got a great run, and had he lifted he it was over. Stay in it and keep your fingers crossed. I would've done the same thing.

not doggin on whoever prep the track saturday night..but it literally sucked in hot laps. bad enough to hit a rut and it flatten ur tire and send u up over the top to where i almost hit the back stretch wall...i mean come on...i had 25 psi in the right front and the track pulled it right off the bead!!!!

I agree it was definitely wet. but when it is that hot out i think you have to dump water on it, or it would be a dusty mess in no time. I would think this coming saturday you may see the same thing or they wont put enough on it and it will be dusty. I would hate to see the water bill this coming saturday. Atleast they took the time to scrap it and make it nice and smooth for the heats.
