You might be old school if your wife asks you to get the quick change out of the tub so she can take a bath.

You might be old school if you remember when roll cages were optional...
when a driver t-shirt was only 10 dollars and you had to go to the pits to buy it because there was no such thing as a souvenir trailer... when drivers didn't even sell t-shirts..... and for you REALLY old farts...when they TOWED your car with a rope to start it..... |

You might be old school if you've seen beer kegs used for fuel tanks on super modifieds and they used 3 rib tractor tires on the front.

You might be old school if you put an Olds V8 into a Ford coupe so you could tow over the hills at a speed that the drivers behind you thought was acceptable.
Or, if you saw Sheldon Kinser driving down the front stretch at Terre Haute with the seat belts flapping in the breeze, because "I was in a transfer spot". |

You might be old school if you can remember the Danville Barbers, Norman "Bubby" Jones, Larry "Boom-Boom" Cannon, and Larry's brother Steve, Dean Shirley, Jerry Camfield, Jack Tyne and Jerry Blundy driving "rail cars" at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, IL.
---------- Post added at 09:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:37 PM ---------- You might be old school if you can remember Bob Tattersall driving a Ford Coupe, number B-29, at the long gone 3rd Street Speedway in Streator, Illinois.
