Is the non wing car faster at the end of the straight because it is going through the power band down the straight instead of a more sustained high RPM? I know a Silver Crown car has a flywheel for the starter clutch, so it retains some more momentum when the driver lets off the throttle.

Faster lap times with a wing, faster straights non wing, better drivers are made without... Rumor has it MMSA winged warriors will be losing there wings for 20-30% of the schedule... Should be a blast!
