I know that I'm changing horses in midstream so to speak. But I get my Area Auto Racing News published in NJ on Tues within 2 to 4 days out here in the boonies (Payson Az) which is a lot faster than when I lived outside of Boston. It seems to be hit or miss when dealing with the USPS. I am guessing that if you are living further away from the publisher that the postal service is using airmail to get it to you. At least in my case where it would take 2 days to drive from NJ to Az.

Mine hasn't arrived yet either. Funny thing is, last month it came about a week earlier than some of my Ohio/Indiana friends did. I had a very long conversation with Doug last month and was quite enlightened on the cost of getting the magazine to us the customer. I sure am excited to see how Jimmy Wilson has been doing.

We've hashed this out before and will do so again, I'd guess. And for good reason.

As a 20 year postal employee, all I can add right now (before I take the Sword Man, his mom and grandma to brunch) that the USPS treats its employees about the same as it does its customers---with contempt. :censor::thumbsdown:

Danny, you know all too well that folks everywhere, not including me :wink, like to tease the postal employees. We are so overly prone to whine about the delivery service. However, we should also be willing to admit that the sheer volume of mail processed by USPS is staggering!
Grandma Kim does quite a bit of eBay business, which takes me to the Bloomington, Illinois (pop. 65k 2000 census) main post office 6 days most weeks. Most of the employees whose jobs involve dealing with postal customers know me by name. Even the non-union employee from another town's post office, who has been temporarily assigned to "meet and greet" at the APC machine, always has a cheerful, "Hi, Steve" greeting for me on the days when I bypass the APC on my way to the counter to mail international items. I frequently hear employees complaining about how management does things at USPS, and I almost always agree with those things I'm hearing. But you guys have to admit that getting holidays such as National Pickle Day in Albania as one of your paid holidays puts you folks right behind school kids in terms of days off.:rolling

My Postie has ties to racing as well, and I'll be dusting the pages for her fingerprints when I finally receive it.

No SC&M here in Marion yet, either. I hope I get good delivery service when I move down near Indy next month.

Aha basically a confession that she reads the neighborhood race fans SC&M magazines. I'll have to poll all the neighbors on when our respective magazines arrive. You probably flip quarters every month to decide who isnt getting their magazine for a few days,if ever!

Now if I could just interest you in all the junk mail that comes every week......

The snow is almost gone from the steps. I'll get after my landlord about cleaning them off! You should get different boots though. The first time I saw those footprints,I though some form of Bigfoot was loose in the neighborhood. Then after closer examination,I figured it was a cross between an Irish Wolfhound, and a Manchurian Yak................

Awe Andrew, I wasn't actually referring to YOUR steps. It was just a frustrated postal employee's gripe in general. I came over last night after work and cleaned your landlady's steps for her - so I don't think she's going to be much help to you. And no, I'm not cleaning yours.

I can honestly say I have NEVER opened up a copy of SC&M out there. I have, however, asked a customer if he knew where I could buy a copy for myself - so there - HAH! :P

As for the hoofprints, uh footprints....you no likey my YakTrax? Trust me, I'll be quite happy when warmer weather prevails and I don't have to wear all of that extra crap!

What you call junk mail, I call job security...
