Yeah I know.. but that doesn't mean he wasn't fun to watch .... running that rediculous high line.... i guess I'm just spoiled with Tri-State and Kokomo.... nahh! that track still stinks

Well for one this was not a sprintweek race. I think some of the racers save up and plan to run sprintweek and after that they go back to doing what and where is best for them.

Ruts n Gut, You are not understanding what I mean when I say "low budget". Sure, Gaines and Darland's teams don't have the resources that some of the bigger USAC teams have, but when they roll into a USAC race, they have a really good shot of winning. There are a lot lower budget teams than them that just can't run with those kind of teams. There are a lot of factors involved.

I was wondering when they had the king of the hill event after the feature,why Levi Jones ,Clausen,Gardner and some of the others didnt run? But you saw the most dedicated and true drivers out there Darland Stanbrough Gaines.
