Unfortunately, usac1957, the Promoter's Workshop is currently taking place in Reno, Nevada. A lot of tracks won't even schedule until that time period, so it was basically out of their hands. USAC will still have their schedule out before almost every short-track sanctioning body, including the World of Outlaws.

I would be only mildly (and pleasantly) surprised if Lawrenceburg gets a Silver Crown date in '10. I don't have any inside info and am likely out to lunch as usual, but I do know some local politicos had mentioned that possibilty when the massive track changes (improvements ?) were in the planning stages.

First time poster but long time follower of this great web site. I went to USAC today to do some Christmas shopping and I was told to look for the schedule to come out this Thursday. By the way my name is Jay I know its bad when people do not leave their names on the postings.

I wasn't too impressed with them on the banking at Salem back in 1988.

Yes how did you guess that was always my favorite on the Bob and Tom show. At least I did not say long time listener first time caller even though I do listen to Rush Limbaugh some.
No I am glad to finally get on board and be a poster on here and I hope to actually meet some of you this spring out at the races. Jay |

IMHO half the reasoning behind a SC car is a endurance race as much as a big track race. A hundred lap race on Burg would be a marathon. Only the strong would survive.
I've only seen about four or five SC races in person and all were at Eldora. I liked em ok. Expecially the one that Hewitt spun and won and that was only fifty laps. Chuck, not meaning to hijack the thread. Carry on ![]()
