The Rock was a racers track with mutiple grooves, where tire management was very key. Anyone who won there was a racer. Those last few races held there were good. And if there is any track I'd like to see a Cup race (never seen one in person) it'd be Darlington.

Some drivers attest that the switch to radial's from bias ply tires some years ago was a key in the racing. Earnhardt and Wallace still won their share but some guys like Kyle Petty preferred the bias plys. Since these boxed up COT cars are permanent they should try running a race at Daytona or Talladega without the restrictor plates. We'd see who the men are amongst the boys.

I'm just wondering if GM files bankruptcy, how many of the Chevy teams will stay together or possibly switch to another brand? I figure Hendrick, Childress, Stewart/HAAS and maybe DEI will keep going but......
