What a joke. Mid night and heat races not done yet. Sad that the Lawrenceburg safety truck shows up at 11 after running a show. I left and doubt I go back the rest of the year. Most poorly ran show I have ever been too. Track was no where ready to hot lap on at time. Takes an hour to work the track in and then an hour an half to hot lap. So sad they will be racing till 3 am at this pace. Most families with young ones can't stay out that late.

I really hate to see problems like this. The comment about families with young ones was especially sad. I have seen far too many young families leave races before the heats were done over the past few years. It certainly doesn't help grow racing when things like this happen. It makes you appreciate Kokomo even more. There have been a few nights when I drove the 240 miles home after the races at Kokomo and got home earlier than it sounds like people at Twin Cities will tonight (sorry, tomorrow morning). Sad.
They didn't even touch the track until before hot laps and had the sprints pack the track. If that small pond of water wasn't at the entrance of 3, the heats would have been even more competitive than they were. We did get to talk to JT Stapp and Drew Able before the action got started so that was cool of them to take time out to talk with us. Keith also talked to Mr. Hunter, Hunter O'Neals Dad. Such nice people. If you ever get a chance to talk with them in the pits, do it. Got to talk to Pushem for a few minutes. We sat beside Mrs. Hopkins and got to speak with her for a short time. Really nice person. We hope Bill James is OK after his accident. Chris Nunn is/was on the mic and was doing a bang up job as always.
