Well the fair is going on, But if you get there by four parking is free. afterwards Idk. Part toward the west end of the grounds Turns 3/4

As others have said, If you sit in the covered section bring ear protection. If not you'll be fine, I usually sit a couple sections in the bleachers down from the covered grandstand. You get a full view of the track. It's a little hard to see turn one but a lot of action right in front of you coming off four.
Lots of race fans congregate out front of the restroom area and on the west side in the shaded area of the restroom (If your there early, bring a lawn chair and chill.

Coolers allowed, Stadium seats allowed, You'll be able to find a good seat anytime.

If you want, You can go in the infield and watch hot laps. I like to stand in the inside of 1/2 and see that RF about three feet in the air. Cars biking in one all the time.

Have fun. I plan to be there if the weather holds.

To contrast others. It's actually my favorite IN track. You'll see good drivers come from deep to top five, All kinds of creativity to make it work in the heats etc and cars darting around down the straights fighting the stagger as the straights are long and flat.

Thank you. I've always enjoyed smaller tracks more as a rule but I like to try new tracks whenever I can so I'm looking forward to it

I've heard the infield right on the fence is quite a spectacle. I will definitely be walking over to check it out

Thank you to everyone who replied. I can't wait to get down in the infield to watch some hot laps. My dad used to watch crown races there years ago back in the pancho carter days. He told me to be sure and hit the infield at least for a little while.

(My wife is more excited about the elephant ears than the sprint cars, I think)

Even with the dust, you have to admit it was still a good race. Windom ran away with it at the end but Leary, Swanson and I think Cockrum all battled for the lead before Windom got it. Darland went from 20th at the start to inside the top 10 and Dakota Jackson started dead last and went to 8th or 9th.

See you all Wednesday.

Nate, I agree, it was a good race. However, I doubt anyone on here would say that was the kind of Terre Haute track they wanted to see. So many of us tell first timers to go into the infield at least for hotlaps and qualifications so you can see the big pitch into the corner. I can't tell you how disappointed I was watching Damien Gardner idle around the inside fence through 1&2. Some of you might say, quit your B.t.c.n.g, but that's not what I'm trying to do. I've seen what makes Terre Haute great and that was not it. Here's hoping we get some Wednesday.

I like the track because I think Sprints are awesome when they are stepping out and galloping hard. Might be the only track in IN where corner entry speed is over a hundred and exit under 60. But they're on the hammer and the good guys are in the gas a hundred feet sooner and a hundred feet longer than the one's who haven't got the hang of it yet.. If the track gets real wide. A car running the wall and a car running the inside guardrail even though side by side are 60ft apart and it all comes into a narrow straight that as I said the stagger plays with em a bit. I've actually seen cars bounce off each other from the stagger swagger. (I'll Patten that term)

So if I get a grandstand ticket that's good for the infield too? I would like to watch hotlaps from the infield as others have suggested.

Yes grandstand ticket gets you in infield, tunnel at end covered stands by turn 1 if not flooded
