The sun blinds you in the middle of one & two at the right time, so for safety, it's a good thing to wait!

Sunshines sprint is a brand new back up car and they just wanted to test before they pack it up and go to the Eastern Storm. The heat race was a good test.

Even came out during the Sprint re-draw and apologized to the fans for not racing, but said the above and just couldn't risk the car before heading to Pa.
