First off Charles it was great to meet you again. Dad and I were sitting right in front of you. We have met once before at Bloomington. We sat next to each other. I think it was the powri I show. I know mini sprints were running.
I had a little different experience at Montpellier. I did enjoy the racing. The heat races were awesome. However, as the night progressed I could not see what was happening in turn one because of the dust. I also did not care for the fact I was dodging rocks and such all night. I got hit in the shoulder at one point by something that was as big as a softball. Charles you should be glad I was there to block that because it would have hit you right in the satchel. My arm is still kind of sore today. This may have been better if I wasn't sitting at the exit at turn four. Overall I enjoyed the trip and may return, however I will not sit in the same place! The racing was good and the slide jobs were awesome. I just wish wish I wasn't dodging rocks and dirt the last part of the midget feature. I left before the sprints because I was tired of getting beat up and dodging rocks. I have been going to dirt tracks my whole life and have never experienced anything like this. However, I think I would try again just sit somewhere else. I also like to sit a little further away from the track than the grandstands allow here. But, I will give them another try. It was a good start to midget week and I am looking forward to rejoining the trip at LPS. My feedback...give Montpelier a try (this was my first time here) just dont sit where they come out of four. You will get beat up. Also I want to add the big cushion in three and four was awesome even though this contributed to me getting beat up! The food and beverage was also good and reasonably priced for a race track. A bottle of water was only a dollar. P.S I will gladly take a shot to the shoulder to keep someone from taking a shot to the sack!

Oh, I took a few shots, Didn't get hit once during the sprint feature though. Guess I was kinda used to clods coming up in the stands from the old burg. Vicki a online friend I still haven't met said she was sitting in the next grandstand down and was having a ball dodging clods.
Was good to see you too, Powri at Bloomington? It was a couple years ago then on a night it rained a bit and a heavy non bloomington like track that I know Shuman won. I hear there are plans for a much bigger grandstand at Monpillier, but without official proof. I can't say for sure. See ya soon! Chuck

Thanks for the feedback guys! We hope everyone enjoyed the opener. The drivers certainly put on a show!
We do have even more improvements coming including a taller grandstands and doubling the lighting capacity. That will most likely occur over the off-season. It was most likely not rocks behind flipped into the grandstands as It was probably the hard cushion being moved. The Midgets moved it back several feet during the feature. We will get some screen down their on that part of the fence to knock that stuff down. It was only the 2nd race where we have had those bleachers in that section so we may need to reconfigure until the tall grandstands in place. We have multiple midget shows coming to MMS yet this season along with MSCS on July 23, NRA Sprint Invaders on July 30, and the always huge car count BOSS series on September 10th.

Thanks for reading and responding Brian and the tips beforehand.
Had a great time and the issues I mentioned were just constructive. To many people fly off about saying anything negative. Nice to see you read it and took it exactly as meant. May try to make that BOSS race and Millstream double header. And thanks for hosting us.
