Looking at the field tonight I thought that Short was the overwhelming favorite. During the heats the track was a little difficult to pass on leaving Short along with KTJr starting a little farther back than they liked.Cockrum led from the start with Bland chasing him. Pretty soon Bland caught him and for the next 8-10 laps they were pretty much side by side. What a race. There was some contact and Bland pulled off with front end damage causing a yellow with 7 to go. This brought KTjr and Short back into the fray. On the restart Short and Thomas started battling and Cockrum got about a 3 car length lead. Another yellow with 3 to go lined them up again and it was then a free for all to the finish. Good show, best I've seen yet this year.
