Down the road, on the Broken Arrow Expressway, right beside Bass Pro Shops, is a place named Oklahoma Joe's. I eat a lot of Barbecue and that place knows what they're doing. They've won and placed real high in a lot of national cook-offs. Their ribs are excellent and their version of pit beans is the best I've ever tried. Plus, they're big enough to handle large amounts of customers. Also, Billy Sims' BBQ has a location an exit away from the Expo Center. It's a local chain owned by the Oklahoma football legend. That location is small though and might be better as a takeout option. The rack of ribs I got there was well prepared and I would definitely go back there, the next time I'm in that area. The pulled pork sandwich, served with slaw on it is real good, too.

Mrs. Ratso and I went to Tulsa this last week for 2 nights. First stopped at Kilkenny's Pub ( not barbacue) for lunch and their Reuben sandwich was great but did not think much of their potatoes au gratin.
That night picked up a pound of pulled pork and 2 hot links from Rib Crib in Broken Arrow and took it back to hotel for dinner. The hot links were excellent and the pork was ok but not great.
The next day we went to Albert G's for lunch and got the pulled pork lunch and a hot link. The pork was really good but the hot links at the Rib Crib were better. In fact the pork was so good we went back later and pick up a pound of it and a pint of cole slaw for dinner.
Can't wait till we go back next month for the Chili Bowl will hit Burns Co. and Albert G's for sure.
