I was really surprised at the count. Why does Chili Bowl draw so many & this one only 22? People don't want to beat their cars up for 98 laps?

Keith Kunz team is like 5 Donnie Schatzes. Amazing how Hines could win points title against such a monster team. Congratulations!

Lets also not forget that Hines had both a broken collar bone and then broken ribs Was searching for a crew chief right up till seasons started and still won it.

Frankly I was a little surprised he hadn't won the midget championship before hand.

Way to go Tracy! Triple Crown and semi retirement

My guess would be is track size. Perris is a 1/2 mile so unless you have big money you have no chance to win and you have to travel all that way. Chili bowl is in a much more central location and a tiny track.

Honestly, You cannot link the Chili Bowl to anything else. It is essentially its own series, event and class. Half the cars run no other nights of the year. And no other series except NZ and AU are running.

Good thing the Kunz car's don't run the chili bowl, and the swindell's either for that matter, that way anyone can win!
