I've seen some dumb comments on here before, but never as dumb as throwback! Go throw some more back!

USAC should fire him and re-hire someone more sane like Davey Hamilton.
The USAC bashing that occurs on the board is ridiculous. However, this is an time high. This was a POWRi event. REPEAT. THIS WAS POWRI EVENT. You know the group that always has 30+ car count everywhere it goes. The group that is based in the Saint Louis area that always supports its racing when it's close. The group that is going to start promoting Silver Crown cars because everything it does turns to magic.

POWRI, the group that does nothing wrong, only had 15 cars on a Friday night at a Saint Louis area track. So, instead of all of the questions about POWRi that I though we would have, we have someone blaming their poor car count on USAC. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

The POWRI supporters can not have it both ways. When they do good, they should get credit. When they do bad, they should get the blame. When they do bad, it is not USAC's fault. Because if you used that logic, USAC should get the credit when they do good.

You hit this right on the spot. If this would've been a USAC race, this thing would be on page 10 with everyone wanting to bash them, but since it's not it's almost getting swept under the rug. As far as the race went, it wasn't terrible for the amount of cars they had, but only 8 cars finished. They made the best of what they had, but I definitely wouldn't rate it one of my top midget races I've attended. However, it was nice to see Zach Daum back racing!

I really hope something hasn't happened. Espically as stated earlier only 13 tonight. Kinda concerning for Powri. Doesn't matter the size of the track Powri has always done well. I really hope teams are just taking a weekend off to regroup. Coming to my home track next week and the following week heading to I55 for the Iron Man. Lets hope it picks back up to the mid 30s.

I don't see the situation getting better next weekend with the Belleville Midget Nationals going on. Also, since many of the drivers live around the St. Louis area, and with the low car counts of this weekend, I would be extremely surprised if many more showed up at Haubstadt 2 hours away. Does POWRi have to guarantee a certain number of cars for a sanctioning fee? If I was a promoter I sure wouldn't want to be paying a heavy fee and only 13 cars show up.

I agree that something seems to be going on with POWRI this weekend. The 15 car performance was followed up by a 13 car performance and both races were in the Saint Louis area. Did the Speed Week break everybody's budget? Have there been some bad wrecks/injuries? Did the sanctioning group do something to get everybody upset?

I always considered the Kunz cars to be a bonus when they appeared with POWRI. Did POWRI start to expect them at every race?

This weekend should be interesting for midget racing. POWRI needs to rebound from this weekend, but they are going heads up against Belleville Midget Nationals. The midget nationals has a great pay check but struggles with car count. Let's hope that both events can be over 20 cars, but I have some serious doubts.

POWRI will have a tough time growing and getting new fans if they can't even muster up a full field in their own back yard. I'll be at Haubstadt Saturday so we'll see what happens. If POWRI drivers don't like a 3/8ths track they sure as heck have no business being at Belleville. It doesn't matter to me how many show up as I'm there for the sprinters.

POWRi's average midget car count this season is 36.24 cars per race. And that calculation includes the car counts from Tri-City Speedway and St. Francois County Raceway this past weekend. I hardly think it would be accurate to judge the health of a series by the car counts from one weekend alone.

Most people aren't criticizing or judging the strength of the series, they are just wondering what in the world is going on this weekend? As you pointed out, averaging over 36 cars per race and then have 13 cars at a tight quarter mile one hour south of St. Louis last night? Something's up

Well that's just my point. Something might be up. Or something might not be up. Let's see what the car counts for the remainder of the season are before coming to an educated conclusion.
