I see posters commenting on tech
I have been involved with the GM CT crate engine for nearly 10 years and know that one of the biggest problems with keeping the engines paired up is the tech process
the counterfit seals that are available are part of the problem but there are many other concerns amongst racers and promoters as to how to tech and what to look for when teching----then comes the problem of who is going to tech

we went back to the beginning and decided that the engine seal itself will do a major part in conrolling the burden of tech and cheating

although all the engines in this program do have the original GM seals in place

we have elected to step up the seal program on every engine in this program

the original GM seals do remain in place but a high security double logo cable seal system is also installed in 6 locations

1 on each head --2 on the intake--1 on the timing cover and 1 on the oil pan

further more each seal is wrapped with a tampere evident foil tape that is logo and QR coded for easy access to the documentation on the website

each engine is issued a build # which is stamped into the intake

all the seal #'s and locations along with serial # information and customer name is available for anyone to see on our website ----which makes the tech process much more accurate and quicker.

Nick,
In discussions with tracks that have been running the 602 engine for several years in east coast modified sportsman, late model and stock cars the average life is 2-3 seasons based on a 20 25 event season. Some are more.
This is in 2,500#-3,500# car so a 1,575# sprint car should at a minimum equal that. These engine will compete with a 6,200 rpm chip.
This would be an average engine cost of $70.00 per event. I don't know of any other engine program that is anyway close to that.
There will be a yet to be determined shock and tire program.
Currently street stock and mini sprint divisions with much higher engine costs are racing for $350-$450 to win and $75-$100 to start.
While it will be up to the tracks to determine purses I believe that with a purse in the upper end of that this division will be overall much more cost efficient.
Thanks for your interest,
Larry Kemp

I've been priced out of sprint car racing three times. I do believe this formula will work and the work that Race 1 has done is amazing in the 602 SC concept. I live in an area that is the worst in the nation for sprint cars, we have very few to none. I was hopeful that the 305's would start to grow in the area but they now have gone up way too far in price. We have a multitude of 602's in this area, following the lead of Ohsweken Speedway we are moving to build a 602 sprint car class in my area, an area where sprint cars have never existed. One thing that is noticed in this area is that one of the biggest nights of fan attendance happens when the USCS sprint cars come to town. Sprint cars bring fans to the stands, they like the wings. This 602 concept makes sprint cars more affordable than most of the lower stock car classes in this area… its true! I am moving to do this and trying to set the example because I work for a living and do have bills to pay and mouths to feed. In this area my back is so far against the wall on this and I often wonder what the hell I’m thinking. I do not know why I am so compelled to do this but I feel I have to try. We have drivers that want to do this but I have to be the one to pull the trigger. I do expect buy mid-year 2016 I will have something to get on the track and let the drivers try out on a practice nights. I do have tracks in this area watching this because they know this is also affordable for them as well and fans will come.

If anyone has any leads on good used rollers please let me know.

Regards
