Tamati, how about we count two laps as one lap on quarter-milers and then we'll have more half-mile tracks than a Quaker has oats. Just a thought, though not a deep one.

Coming from PA i do the first weekend, Stay in or near Gas then that way I get to the room first and check in then i base from there. It also makes it easy to swing down to l-burg and then onto home. You also can't go wrong with the track combo either.

I still believe a big dirt half mile on the perimeter of Indianapolis for special events would be a good investment.

I am sure to be verbally bludgeoned by the masses for bringing this up in this thread, and stating the obvious, but the King's Royal Weekend is, as always, scheduled during ISW. Only this year, Eldora and the WoO have moved the dates back a week, so said event will conflict with the SECOND weekend of ISW vice the FIRST weekend as in year's past. I was sad early on to note that the moving back of the KR made it to where I would not be able to go, BUT, I am still free for the weekend before. So, Kokomo & Gas City it will be for me! I suggest the same for you, too, '857.

What a Plan B I "fell into" this year!

Thanks for all the thoughts.

As far as Terra haute, I watch sprints on a half mile every week all summer long. Plus the eastern storm at Port Royal witch is a 1/2 mile in my back yard. Most eveyone that has raced it during the Storm says its almost the twin to Terra haute. So not a big disapoinment if I don't get there, but also would be a big plus to visit that track anyway. Terra haute is pending how much vacation time I have to use.

I also get the point about the "other" races the second half of the week. We might get to see extra drivers the first half that won't go to the second week because of racing the "other" races.

Do whatever you want but as for me and my opinion the 2nd week and being at the finally is really good! T.H.A.T., LPS, Bloomington and TSS are 4 cant miss tracks and races to see. So if you have done the first two last year go outside the box do the last 4 this year!

Got to go to Terre Haute. Went last year and it changed my perception of "fast". Just mind blowing the speeds they can get up to and still slide it through the corner.

They could do a whole episode of bikes, biffs and bails on Terre Haute alone.
