Two out of two doctors agree: I ate at Stoll's two weeks ago, and can't get those skillet-fried chicken and breaded porkchops out of my mind. Will be there pre-race Saturday...
Of course, if you're coming from Indy, there is always Gray's Cafeteria in Mooresville to stop at on a leisurely drive down 67 to Tri State. Gives about two hours for digestion as well...

There is not a wait at all if you get to the Log Inn at least by 4:45pm, which is about right if you want to be at the track by 6pm. The service is always very quick and efficient. It is the oldest restaurant in Indiana with old-time interior. You should go if you have never been. Served family style. Great fried ckicken, chicken livers, roast beef, etc. with all the fixens. Finger licken' good, with all due respect to the Colonel.

I believe you need to have at least three in your party to go family style.

RonMil,
Yes, Professor, you are correct that you need three people at the Log Inn for family style dining. What you do if there are just two people is to order a third setting for a child. The restaurant encourages this so you get more food at a child's price which means more chicken, milk gravy, corn , peas, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, etc. for the two eating. Now I'm hungry- LETS GO!! You can eat in the bar room if you like and you can smoke if you want to in the bar.

After the races, the Flying J. Service sucks, but food is decent, and you will probably see some of the raceteams there. The service is really terrible. (Not staffed enough)

Better yet, dont go there, so that maybe we'll get our food within an hour.

Many a fine animal have given their life to feed the Cummins crew, eh Otis...LOL. I can say that because I have personnally taken part in the post race tradition with them for many years!!! The Flying J service is soooo bad that I got home at 3 from Haubstadt when the races were over by midnite, and I live about 10 miles north of the track. If you are up for Mexican, the Los Azetecas Restraunt is about a quarter mile east of US 41/SR 64 interchange in Princeton. Great food and large portions, the Fajitas or the #32 are favorites.
