Been years since been to Rushville but it is known to be a tricky track. I was not at UMRA last event but at Bloomington #1 Goff and 21 Speidel were class of the field. Both gassers know how to cowboy up on a track like Rushville. Starting positions at Rushville is crucial, lets hope for alot of rain tonight! Car count is traditionally high. Would love to see another first time winner!

I think 767 hit the nail on the head when he said "i think we all miss the day when the fair board really cared about the track"!
I'll throw another name in the hat, if he's there. Rick Robinson always runs well there. Also, Byrge wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
It has A LOT to do with track position, that's for sure. We'll see who starts up front, because if you can start up front, you usually stay there.

Since we are throwing out names for first time winners.... If there is going to be one, I am picking the #33 of Jason Vest. I know he will have the most vocal fans! That is one thing he has every week! Anyway, he has been oh so close already once this year at Bloomington, and last year at Greensburg, leading almost every lap but the most important one. Only to be beat out by Terry Goff both times. it would be neat for Vest to hold off Goff this time for his first career win, and to force Terry to wait another week to get his milestone 100th feature win. I am always rooting for the first timers, and shawn you are right. It is crucial to start up front at Rushville, so qualifiying will be very imporant. **I always like to watch some of the faster guys lay back just a little bit to be right around 9th or 10th or even 11th quick.. Over the years, I have seen some sandbaggers out there!
**When UMRA qualifies, the top 10 qualifiers that transfer from the heats to the feature are inverted. So if you are 10th quick and the top 10 transfer, you are on the pole for the feature.. Believe me, some guys try hard to be right around the top 10..
It would also be neat to see some of the big dogs that have not been around much this year at Rushville. Kenny Bryge, the 2006 Champion has had motor problems off and on, and has not been around much. Jason Willis, who is one of the quickest cars everytime he hits the track, has had motor problems, and so has AJ Nigh. If UMRA is going to have 40 cars tomorrow night, those guys will probably need to be in attendence. Should be exciting... Ok, I am ready now...:greenflag:

I was hoping that Vest would hold on at Greensburg, Chad. He drove a nice race, but just couldn't hold on long enough. He'll get a few wins before you know it.
Since you brought it up, Chad. It seems that some guys just have a knack for qualifying in the right spot, at Rushville. Speaking of Nigh, he's usually a pretty good qualifier, but sometimes too good! :wink

In addition to motor problems, I've had computer problems. I won't be there tonight, and can't honestly say that I'll miss being there.
