The other "Illinois Thing" I gotta ask about is.....Flagstands in the infield.....they all have em almost...I don't think there is one track in Missouri, including gokart tracks, that have the flagstand in the infield but cross the big muddy and it's hard to find a track, other than Granite City/Pontoon Beach, with a flagstand outside the track...anybody out there have any wisdom as to why it's so common in the land of Lincoln.[/QUOTE]

I know Jacksonville, Lincoln, and Farmer City all access the track from the front stretch. That would make the flagstand pretty far from the track. As far as the others, I don't know. I think it is probably safer, but I think it would be more visible on the outside. Spoon River is on the outside.

And seriously, you have to be bat sh*t crazy to be the flag man there. That's a place that needs a raised flag stand if ever there was a track that needed that.

The track was good and fast for the feature last weekend, I can't wait for everyone to come over on the 6th.

Ryan Broughton was the 2011 winner,who will contend for the 2012 win. i will start the list Austin Archdale 4x ILLS champ will be ready to battle.

I keep trying to talk myself into going but that's a hell of a drive from cincinnati.
