I have no desire to start my own SC club however, if I should change my mind I will contact Greg Staab to run it for me. Patti |

I have a question. Myself, like alot of people I am sure, wrote the series off with the advent of the tugboat SC cars. If I read this post correctly, they are going back to the traditional chassis'? If so, where does that leave the ugly cars and their owners? Just curious, as I use to enjoy the SC cars at IRP.

Bowman Racing's #2 will be there. I am glad that the "traditional" cars are back. For how long is anybody's guess, but for now, they're back. I do hope though, that fuel prices and general economic conditions are considered by USAC when gauging the success of the return of the tradional cars. I'd expect lower than normal turnouts for both in 2008 regardless of the turmoil that the series has experienced in the last 3 years.

From the diffrent people I have talked to a fair estimate on car count might be as low as 18, so I hope more owners decide to come out and make the return of the traditional cars a possitive.

![]() And the "New" have been put on hold: ![]() I know some of the owners pulled the engines and put them in the old style frames they still had from the previous switch. |

These 18 drivers and teams were at Manzy for the first dirt race:
1. Jerry Coons Jr. 2. Bud Kaeding 3. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. 4. Shane Cottle 5. Tracy Hines 6. Mat Neely 7. Levi Jones 8. Brian Tyler 9. Dave Darland 10. Darren Hagen 11. Shane Hollingsworth 12. Aaron Fike 13. Wayne Reutimann Jr. 14. Damion Gardner 15. Jay Ervine 16. Chris Urish 17. Mike Murgoitio 18. Jon Stanbrough. I think some of them are "dirt only" teams, but add them to the PRA drivers and teams from last year: 1. Eric Gordon 2. Brian Tyler 3. Dave Darland 4. Bobby East 5. Ryan Smith 6. Johnny Heydenreich 7. Ron Gregory 8. A.J. Fike 9. Mike Lichty 10. Ryan Newman 11. Jacob Wilson 12. Mark Jessup 13. Teddy Beach 14. Kody Swanson 15. Wayne Reutiman, Jr. 16. Levi Jones 17. Sport Allen 18. Bryan Clauson 19. Tom Capie 20. Kevin Feeney 21. Kyle Nicholas 22. David Mirk 23. Justin Barger 24. Shane Cottle 25. Chet Fillip 26. Bobby Santos III I also realize that some of these drivers were in the same car. I doubt we'll see 40 cars at Richmond, 25 is my optimistic guess. I do believe you'll see 35 big cars at ORP next month though.:applaud: |
