I heard this morning that gas prices are supposed to peak at $3.73.
$3.73 > $3.80 :action-smiley-049:

I think a big issue around the midwest is the way Speedway works. They raise to 3.85, everyone else raises to 3.85 or close, then speedway lowers. And when Speedway goes up, it isn't just your area, they go up to a certrain price for the whole midwest. Usually Indiana and Ohio goes to the same price.

They make it become basically a self-fulfilling prophecy. Tell the speculators the sky if falling, they bite causing it to jump
Bingo, Which means we are no longer a free nation of free enterprise but a nation of blackmail and fear.
We did something about this once before. It was called the American Revolotion to get away from the tyrany of the king.
Sad but true, We put ourselves into this situation. If your gonna fall for every global warming scam. EPA declaration ect ect. EXPECT TO PAY FOR IT.
As for our representatives. I thought the BIG CHANGE last major ******** was supposed to change things for the better? It's because the heads haven't changed.
It's time to demand the good of 300 million be looked after and not PITA, Greenpeace, EPA, corporations ect.
The price of oil isn't what scares me. It's the price of everything that goes along with it.

Monday gas jumped 28 cents overnight here in Bloomington, IL. It was $3.89.9, but it has dropped a whole penny today. Grandma Kim's rusty old Honda CRX still gets over 40 MPG at legal speeds, so I'm not riding my bicycle just yet.
I do worry about its reliablity (183,000+ miles!) if I go beyond the city limits anymore. Uncle Pat had to bring it home from Springfield in his quarter midget trailer recently when the radiator failed.
Maybe the gas is so high here because Big Oil found out that a certain major insurance company has put Big Spender (aka Go Fast) into our town with a company credit card :O:
