Took Santos about 12 laps to get to Windoms tail from 5th and about 5 more to pass him, Windom kept him in sight but never challenged him after that. Nice run late by Helberg taking Hines and Wilson in the last 5 laps

Kind of reminded me of the old IRP tonight. Difficult to pass as the cars were pretty equal. Good quality of cars even though the quantity was not strong. The top was the fast way around this evening and if you ventured to the bottom to attempt a pass, you most likely ended up going backwards.
I hope this wasn't the last show but I would certainly understand if it was. I would doubt there were more than 500-600 fans in the stands. USAC just isn't a promoter. They have been a sanctioning body only for so long that they just don't think along these lines. I was hoping when the new regime took over that that would change. Just hasn't happened.
