Since I started race back in the early 70's I was refered to as Outlaw. Then I started traveling some and from the south and always had a confederate battle flag on the car it became Southern Outlaw. When my son started racing and I retired it became Papa Outlaw. Son took the name and flies the same flag on his car now as was on my last car. My best friend Benjie Mills took the name on his cars as Dixie Desperado, so back then it was Dixie Desperado and The Southern Outlaw...Hell kinda sounds like a band..LOL

I signed up on IOW 3 months after the closure of our beloved Manzanita speedway. It was(and is)my way of paying tribute to the old girl.I still do and always will miss Manzy!
I'm neither wild nor a man, but my son's favorite driver (ok, mine too) is Daron Clayton (92) and he nicknamed him the Wildman as he is always exciting to watch.
