While he tells his guys they are his drivers, he often fires them before they have even ran 5 races. He has shown everyone that they do not want to race for this guy, because anything other than a win results in unneeded criticism and soon after being fired. Don thinks that money is all he needs to win, but that couldnt be further from the truth. While money is a larger factor, a team with no real leadership, confidence, or trust is really no team at all. His decisions are all based on what someone else says, and if you ask me Don is the one needing to find his balls. Just this year Don has let a few talented drivers go for absolutely no reason, and the more he does this, the more the quality of his drivers will decline, as well as his number of wins
Sorry for not knowing I was a ***** for not putting my name.

I can 100% agree with what A-TownRaceFan said! Great Post A-TownRaceFan. Oh and he's not trashing the guy he's just stating the truth.
Not to defend anyone, but didn't Paul Leffler fire a lot of drivers? Seems to me I remember an old saying I heard, I know on thurs/sat nite thunder, don't remember who said it but, something bout "if you've never been fired you've never drove for paul leffler." Posted via Mobile Device
Google it. Also, try Armstong Mould and Tom Bigelow. By the way, I've not heard anybody say that Don Wilshe ever stiffed them. Just sayin... Posted via Mobile Device
Leffler was known for putting the drivers name on the car written on duct tape because he went through so many drivers. He is also famous for firing one of them while they were flipping.

Paul had a shop, just off 46, at a little town called Burney. His first wife was my cousin. I didn't know much about him, because he was gone racing all the time. I know a fellow who worked several years for him, and yes, he fired a lot of drivers, including one while he was flipping his car, but, I never heard anyone say Paul ever put a driver in a bad car, and if you wanted a good, fast, sprint car, try to buy one from Paul. His son, Greg, drove for a long while, turned into quite a business man. Bob!
