Just win the race Don, then you wouldn't have to worry about tow money. I myself agree that promoters should put up some tow money, but in the promotors defense why should they pay those who aren't putting on the show?

Mr. LocalYokel: Giving out advice on IOW without signing your name. If you did your research you wouldn't be posting about winning the race. Since you brought it up, you need to go back into the archieves of IOW several weeks ago and read the thread called "Where's the Rule". To make a long story short, we qualified for the feature by finishing a legal 5th place which transferred us to the feature according to the posted rules of that org. We made the show but were denied the starting feature position when we were told there was a rule that put us into 6th. There was no rule. Read the thread for more info. But that is neither here nor there. Now, are you saying that all the cars that do not make the feature NEVER TOOK THE TRACK, THE FANS NEVER SAW THEM RACE AND THOSE CARS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PROMOTER'S EVENT?????? I think NOT! Do you work for free at your daily job? Same thing. We are not prostitutes at the race track.

i dont understand why everyone thinks it o.k. for all but 4 or 5 cars that shows up to a race lose money. oh the promoters and track owners have to make money but midget owners can lose money and should be o.k. with that. i dont get it.
i feel more cars would show up to races if the promoters would pay a little less to win and more to start the feature. pay 1500 to win and 300 to 400 to start the main. if you dont make the main $100. that would work for me. all i need is to leave the house with X dollars in my pocket and return home with the same amount in my pocket.
maybe i'm wrong and people like 13 to 15 car fields like has happened the last 2 years. everyone should make money not just promoters and track owners.
