Congrats to Blake Fitzpatrick for winning his heat from 6th and coming from 10th to 5th in the feature. All this the first time he has run Perris. He was just breathtaking at times. He split Levi and Stanbrough to move from 6th to 4th in an instant. Another time I think it was Matt Mitchell and Mike Spencer he split (working from memory, not notes, here). The West Coast fan sitting next to me said that Blake made a lot of fans out there tonight.
JJ Hughes was running well until one of the CA drivers lost it right in front of him and he had no place to go.
We may be on the West Coast drivers' home turf, but certainly showed that our Midwest drivers can run successfully with the best of them, no matter where the track is. Congrats to Levi for a hard fought victory as well.
