Windom was 13th in the feature (transferred by finishing 4th in B Main #2).

This show was incredible. If not for one caution, this thing would have gone green to checker for 50 laps. Steve Buckwalter jumped out to an early lead with Brad Kuhn in tow, only to have something go awry on the 25 machine. With Kuhn inheriting the lead, Clauson on his tail and Hagan not far behind, it was shaping up to be one of the best features I have ever seen in midget racing. The 17 of Kuhn and the 39 of Clauson duked it out for several laps with Hagan biding his time. The caution for Clausser came out and Kuhn, East and Armstrong stopped at the entrance to the track thinking the red had been thrown, only to discover the flag-man had inadvertently hit the red causing some confusion in the stands and on the track. After the restart, Clauson briefly took the lead from Kuhn only to make a mistake in 3 jumping the cushion, understandably so as his brakes were shot after 40 or so laps of racing. With brakes fading fast, Hagan's #3 machine reeled in Clauson and went to work on Kuhn. Kuhn bobbled in the same place the 39 car did giving Hagan a hard fought victory on the last lap. Man I wished we could do this again next week. All three nights were well worth the trip and time. For those of you who have nto been able to see these guys run at Tri-city, you really should consider to put this on your list. You will not be disappointed. Thanks to the Gundakers, POWRi and USAC for an excellent event.

Awesome race last night! Best race I've seen all year. I've never cheered for Hagen that much in the past, but he drove a great race. Everyone raced really clean as well and just one caution. Tough break for Buckwalter, he could have been another player in the end.
