The migets were fantastic with battles all over the track. The sprinters were good too. They tend to kick up lot of dust compared to non wing races, but I'll put up with some dust if there are multiple grooves, and there was. Congrats to Clauson and Hull.

For those about to rock, we salute you.

Also, thanks to Kevin and the Tri-City Speedway track crew. Their willingness to rework the track and reclaim the turns, in between the times that the winged cars left the track and when it was time for the midgets to come back out was what enabled both classes to really put on a show. Especially the midgets. While these combination wing/non-wing shows always look like something that would be great on paper, in practice that usually doesn't work out. Nine times out of ten, the racing surface is usually so fried by the time the non-wing main event rolls out, that it ends up being a big disappointment. That was not the case last night. Thanks to a proactive track operator.

A man is about as big as the things that make him angry.

Just like at Haubstadt, when you only run two classes, there's time to rework the track.

Although Tri City might slick off a lot in the summertime, you'll rarely see a truly locked down, huggy pole race there.
