Well in Bloomingtons defense, although ive been there all of twice this year, thats all they have ran the past five or six years is the Midwest All Stars. I was surprised in the fact that they got more than 20 cars. Seeing a local win would have been great

Whats the reason Bloomington wont have the WoO anymore? You know they would pack the house with Steve, Kraig, Joey being from Indiana. Dont tell me cause its wings and racin sucks... blah blah blah... we all know it would be sold out... what happend? just curious

Just my opinion.

I wish I would have went last night. Cool that Wimmer picked up the win.
While I agree the Midwest All Star Series is a joke of a touring series, if you didn't realize it is not the same as the All Star Circuit of Champions that is your own fault. Webb runs this series also but it is not nearly as popular as it was as the Mid American Sprint Series before Webb took it over. The predecessor to that, the Great Lakes Outlaw Sprint Series, was excellent and included events throughout Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois. Regulars like Kraig Kinser, Danny Smith, Kelly Kinser, Brandon Wimmer, Boston Reid, Paul May, Todd Kelly, Ken Mackey, and many others were fun to watch. It was always cool to see non-wing regulars from the tracks around Indiana (Kevin Briscoe, Dickie Gaines, Michael Burthay, Shane Hollingsworth, Tyler Pearce to name a few) put on the wings and be competitive. 2002 to 2004 was an awesome period of racing for sprint cars in Indiana, both wing and non-wing. |

Why were the modifieds run under a different sanctioning body last night? And what was the deal with that #46? He sure caused a lot of delay.
By the way, the modifieds were far better than the sprints last night. I always say I won't go to the winged race, but I do anyway and come away disappointed. I guess I am an optimist and show up hoping to see some side by side competitive racing that I did witness there when Randy Kinser ran the top. That was entertaining! There was a good crowd last night and it was comfortable, even a bit cool as the evening wore on. Program was a good bit longer than usual, but that is understandable due to the large modified count and two classes qualifying.

Bloomington had two different sanctioning bodies there last night. The Midwest All Star Sprints and the American Modified Series. The Modifieds were still under UMP Sanction but it was a touring series that came in. Hence the new drivers that showed last night.

Last time if I remember correctly Bloomington's WoO show was rained out and was recheduled the next year.
