Sometimes you never know what they mean with "local trafic only", maybe that's to keep semi's off, and some of the sightseer's out of their hair, but then what if, someone would post a "Free Rootbeer Float's" on the Interstate? Don't even think about it. I know I'm gonna enjoy one, for me, and one other for Dave R. Stay away wet stuff! Bob

Any news on the action planned today at Shelbyville, race car display downtown, Root Beer Floats, and of course, any racing? We're loaded up and waiting! Bob

Racing is still on as of now. MTQRL's Gary Lee is on his way to the Grover Museum and the rootbeer floats and car display is getting ready to begin. The mtqrl.com website is experiencing technical difficulties and the IT guys are currently working on it. Updates will be posted here and on Facebook.

Thank you to the Leary #30, Willis #25, Ramsey/Martz #1, Guinn #5g, Faulkner #83, James #11 racing teams and Russ Hankins (vintage TQ) for bringing their cars early to display along with the MTQRL show truck at the Grover Museum. It was the biggest Saturday crowd ever for the museum. Many other drivers, owners, and MTQRL officials were there to enjoy the root beer floats served up in the Emporium on the Streets of Old Shelbyville. Thank you Shelbyville Police Department for the escort through town to the track.

What an exciting race last night. The top two drivers in points, Tate Martz and rookie CJ Leary, had everyone on their feet as they battled for the win. Martz got the win and completed a rare sweep of the night. In addition to winning the feature, he qualified the fastest and won each event he competed. That has been done only one other time in MTQRL history by Jason Willis in 2009 at the Jefferson County track in Madison.

Complete results and photos will be posted later on mtqrl.com.
