An exciting night at the Gasser this evening. The track surface was again in excellent shape. No rework again this evening. The feature was the best I believe I have seen at Gas City in the last 5 years. It took three tries to get it started but then only one yellow flag the rest of the way. The boys were up on the wheel tonight for sure.

Grant started up front and he and Burdette were the main combatants for the first half of the show. T-Mez started farther back in the pack (10th I believe) and he started assaulting the cushion from the drop of the green. When he caught up to the leaders it became two and three wide the rest of the way. Lappers played into the mix as well and the pace was fast and furious.

At the line it was T-Mez, Grant, Burdette and then I believe Petty and Holt. After that it is anyone's guess. A real shame because with that action in the front I am sure that I missed a lot of exciting racing back in the pack. The crowd was really into it and the finish left many just shaking their heads. WOW! It certainly will be difficult to get to sleep. I'm still pumped.

Ya know two weeks ago I was one of the first people on here to complain about the track re-work right before the feature. That week we saw what'd been gas city's best race track all year by far and I let Jiggs and crew know about the nice track that night. Last week we show up and it's even better, last weeks track was great as we all saw either in person on via Jackslash highlights. Then WOW tonights race track was great, not alot of passing in the heats but they more than made up for it in the feature. 2 and 3 wide all the way through the pack and Thomas came from 10th to take the checkered. Just hope Jiggs and crew keep up the good work and soon enough that gas city of old will be back.
