Very few facilities on 64 but the rest area by 231 is great for a late night nap. It is very quiet.

Been that way many of times from Brownstown and back to and its not a bad little drive. I think you'll hit 5 stop lights before Brownstown...2 in Corydon right at the overpass over I-64...1 in New Salisbury....1 in Palmyra....and 1 in Salem. Corydon is about 45 minuntes (give or take a few) from Brownstown. Brings you right to Highway 50. Once at Hwy 50 just take a turn to the right and continue straight on through the stop light in Brownstown by Hucks, Circle K, Jackson County Bank, and CVS. That'll be Hwy 250 and bring you right to the track/fairgrounds which will be to your left.

Forgot to mention....limited food choices in Brownstown....there is McDonalds, Dairy Queen, Subway, Snappy Tomato Pizza Buffet, Fleetwoods Pizza, and the mexican buffet. They also sell some real good fried chicken at the Jay C grocery store in town to.

This is the route I take from Evansville and I've found it to be the best. The Corydon exit number is 105. Several places to eat at that exit.

It sounds like the Corydon exit is your best bet, but if you do head up 65 North, I wouldn't go all the way to Seymour. Exit onto Highway 250 at Uniontown; there's a Lion's Den **** store there (I know this because of the controversy that has surrounded it since Day 1, not because I'm a frequent customer or anything). Turn left and you'll follow 250 all the way to the race track. I hate going through Seymour to Brownstown from the south. There's also plenty of restaurants before getting to Seymour.

Take the Corydon exit and take 135 North to Brownstown. I'm from Corydon and lived in Brownstown for a year. I even take that route to go from Bloomington to Corydon. They made drastic improvements to Hwy. 135 between Palmyra and Salem a few years ago. Straightened out the curves and added passing zones, now it's not a bad drive at all. 1 hour from Corydon to Brownstown.
