I was just down at the track and the grounds are very saturated. The parking areas and the pits were very wet. Without any sun to help dry things out it would have just been a muddy mess. I suspect that the track itself, the pits, and the parking areas all have to be considered when making the decision to race or not race.

The Track I'm sure is good to go right now, but the pits and field parking is another story indeed. don't need a bunch of haulers making a mud bog out of all of it.

According to the radar I just looked at they made the right call. It is definitely an Irish kind of day. Tom

I agree, Tom. Not only did they end up getting the rain they were supposed to, many of the fans and teams would have had to drive through some pretty bad stuff to get there. The ones that passed through here a little bit ago involved both Tornado and Severe T'Storm Warnings.

It just stopped raining here in Kokomo, we have water standing in places that has never held water before. Thank you Bloomington for saving us a trip down there to watch it rain. I believe you made the right call.
