I don't care what a person's level of education or income might be, if they're at a dirt track on a Saturday night, they're at least a little red in the neck area. It's like Jeff Foxworthy has said, you can paint a pumpkin black, but that still don't make it a bowling ball. So, we're ALL "hillbillies" in that sense. And there's nothing wrong with that.
As for the "rookies" line, most of them have thousands of laps in a racecar before they ever strap into a firebreathing sprint car. And for the "nobodies" comment, sorry, not everyone can be so fortunate to be able to have the funding to go out and run with USAC. But it's not exactly like one can go out and buy a "low" dollar sprinter at Wal Mart, either.
