Do you guys think the Tri state race might take some of the midgets away from this event? or are they just non-winged mini sprints?

C'ome on now, give the guy some air, he doesn't need all this heat on his mellon, and at least so far, I don't think he deserves it, there are a lot of guys, hoping this is a go, especially with both Midgets and Sprints, maybe even DD, and I don't mean Dave Darland, could even appreciate a night of open wheel racing! I guess it makes it complicated to have an open mind when they dance around the question about paying CASH or CHECK or IOWEU. I hope these guys do well. However, it would be a good idea to get the answer in writing by the series leader in case you ended up with a Kemper Arena situation. I hope that this is not going to be the case, but anytime something is new people are skiddish. Ease everyone's mind Mr. Gurley, how are you paying the purse?

Call him up and ask him if it's that big of a deal, his phone number is all over IOW and the ASCT website. He's rented the track, so he's paid that money. Last year when he took over SCORA, we still were paid cash and I can attest , was never shorted one dime!

Trust me....I know for a fact the money is there.....so if you choose to attend, then go win some of it. And it is CASH!

Their website is not Blackberry friendly and it will be a while before I get around a computer to get it. Besides I would like to see it in writing from his username. I am not trying to be an *******, I just want an honest answer in writing from the man himself. I give them the credit for going outside of the box, and I hope this deal is a success for the budget racers out there. I just want an answer to a question. Not an explanation from someone unaffiliated with the series. No offense to you MSCS 20, and no offense to the series or the people involved. Just looking for a simple answer.

Affiliated???????? I am a member, owner/driver AND a sponsor. I called John personally to be sure nothing had changed and it is still cash. And he said he PM'd those who had asked before he logged off. Why is there any doubt? Any question the Eldora, Gas City, Waynesfield series that isn't a series about how they pay? Or Hammer on the IL Sprint Series next month?

Excuse me, I had no idea you were a sponsor/owner/driver. I am not here to argue, as you can read by me saying no offense. The only people I knew of affiliated with the series were Gurley and Stapp. I just wanted an answer not a pi$$ing match. I don't know about those other series, I assumed they were organized by the promotion groups behind each facility. I am not worried about those series because the team I help runs southern Indiana. I respect your confidence in the ASCT and I hope it is a success.

I was serious about my midget question. Not trying to be a smartass. How many full midgets are we looking at, and how many mini-sprints will fill out the field?

To all the racers that are interested in running with us the purse will be paid in cash. Now whats next?? All are welcome to call me. I still think that with most of the nay say'ers there isn't anything that will change their displeasure with our deal and thats why I chose NOT to reply. No one has called me about this but thats typical of some on here. Some are trying there hardest to pick anything they can to bash us. They can't bash the purse so they start to hunt for something else but thats the way it is. Next it will be the guys that run with us. Whats sad is that most of bashers wouldn't consider us regardless.I want to thank all the racers and all the fans that understand whats going on and why we're doing this and thank god theres been more positive then negative although some of you have done your best to put the negative spin on our series.Like I've been told, with every negative post that is put on here it just shoves this thread right to the top.So anyway if any of you have any question feel free to call. (812) 420-1973. I have tried to respond through the PM method but that doesn't seem to work because then I'm accused of hiding out and if I post, well, then I'm told I either post to much or I'm unprofessional.Welcome to racing in Indiana I guess.

Up to 24 confirmed sprints now with 4 that will let me know Weds and we have 16 full midgets plus 4 VW cars, plus 3 focus cars and 7 1000cc mini's. Not bad for a nothing, meaningless and I believe the word was insignificant series.Did I miss one? We offer a choice, thats it,no more no less, just a choice. It's up to you the racer and whats best for you. All I ask is that you take a look at our purse structure and make a comparison and then call your play.

SPRINT CARS:
1.)MAY 8TH. TWIN CITIES IN. 25 LPS
$2000,1000,725,625,525,450,425,400,375,350,325,300 ,275,(14-20) 250

Midgets MAY 8TH TWIN CITIES RCWY
$1500,625,500,450,400,350,325,300,275,250,225,(12-20)200.

mscs20(Steve), Get your story straight. John Gurley did not take over SCORA in 2009. All purses and expenses were paid by me and I closed SCORA because of lack of help and interest. ASCT is a complete new group and I have nothing to do with it. Sam Stockon Sr.
