Allen Ruppenthal of ERC needs your prayers

I just got off the phone with Joan and she informed me that Allen is in intensive care. When I talked to him on Sat. we had planned to go down and see him tommorrow and i called tonight to see if he was still up to it and that's when I got the news. Please continue to pray for Allen and Joan!!

I just spoke with Miss Joan, Allen has pneumonia and they have him on I.V antibiotics and are taking corrective action. He is very tired from all the test and medical related visitors but he is alert and awake. Please don’t be upset if they don’t return your calls they have been very busy in the last week. If anyone has any questions feel free to give me a call or email, I will update when I get new info.

I just spoke to Joan, Allen is doing much better today, so well that he will hopefully be moving into a regular room tomorrow, and possibly home before the end of the week...

! He has been able to get some much needed rest which he hasnt had much of in the last 2 weeks..
So lets keep up the prayers, and Allen will be back at the track before we know it!

Great to hear. I only raced with the MMSA a handful of times last year but Allen always made me feel welcome. Him and Bill May put on a great show.

Just talked to Allen... he hopes to go home tomorrow, He is feeling alot better, white count is still up a little too much, but he was pretty chipper, and definetly ready to go racing...

I talked to him yesterday, and he seemed very chipper..He's been feeling better since he got home, hes going continue his treatments.... his primary concern is making sure that everyone is ready for the first race.. he is pretty stoked about the up coming season...he has a great passion for a sport that hes been a big part of for the last 25 years..

From Everyone in the Stapp Family our prayers are with you!!

We bought a 95 ERC from Gary Tarr at the end of the 95 season. We ran in the top 5 consistently with that car in 96 and 97. We won 3 features with it in 1997, 1 at Sullivan and 2 at Lawrenceburg. That year we had 19 top 5s in 23 races.

Allen, you always supported us and gave us great advice
