I'll add to the Rollie Beale and driving an Alfater story. Rollie refused to drive an Alfater after he broke his leg in Reading. When he went with Ron Kilman and the Rodeo Bar car they had an Alfater but Rollie told him he would have to get a different chassis.That's why the Rodeo Bar car was a Ronnie Ward chassis and I would say it was pretty fast as well.
Karl Busson drove an Alfater, white 95, for his father-in-law Bernie Cedoz for quite awhile in USAC

kenny lay has past away this past week , was a hard man to beat in his day.
