Crankin,

Yes I knew that the end was coming but I can still wish it wouldn't happen. When any type of facility like this is torn down nothing of any real value ever takes it place. Probably another Wal Mart.

I made it a point this weekend to drive past the Michigan State Fairgrounds while I was in Detroit. It has been a couple of years since my last trip past there and I was really surprised how the place has gone down hill. My son said that this past summer was the last Michigan State Fair and they will be razing the buildings and race track for future development. It is sad to see another race facility fall to the wrecking ball.

They won't buld anything at the fairgrounds once it's gone. They don't build ANY buildings in that plae anymore, they just tear them down.
